Confirmed: Carrot Man, Jeyrick Sigmaton, to Appear in Jessica Soho’s TV Show, KMJS

MANILA, Philippines – It’s confirmed by Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) on Facebook that the recently popular Carrot Man, Jeyrick Sigmaton, whose photos went viral on social media sites will appear in Jessica Soho’s TV show on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Jeyrick Sigmaton (Carrot Man)

Carrot Man’s photos became viral when Edwina T. Bandong and company took pictures of him while on their way to Sagada for a tour. She posted them on Facebook and Netizens reacted to the “ruggedly handsome” Igorot man. Read related post HERE.

This was posted on KMJS’ official Facebook page:

Jeyrick was also featured in 24 oras TV news. Netizens are rooting for him to become a showbiz personality. Jeyrick is still shy though, refusing to speak before the cameras during his first exposure.

Hopefully, he would gain more self-confidence with his exposure and be able to help more with his family through the entertainment industry. He may also have the chance to continue with his studies.

Sample Prayer for Acquaintance Party

God in heaven, we pray for the success of this acquaintance party.

May you shower your blessing on everyone present here today.

May you bless the organizers and sponsors of this party, so they can continue to do so.

May you bestow success on all the activities to be conducted.

So that these will all be completed successfully.

May this activity be a way for us to know each other,

so we can live together in harmony and love for your greater glory.

We pray that as we leave this venue,

We have grown more in love and concern for our fellow men.

Grant that whatever problems we have had in the past,

these will all be resolved properly with your guidance.

We know that through your divine intervention nothing is impossible.

All these we ask in your mighty name. Amen.

Zika Virus Updates, WHO Declares Global Alert

The World Health Organization declared a global alert as the Zika virus continues to spread and infect people from all over the world. This was reported by international news on Monday, February 1, 2016.

Mosquitoes that transmit the Zika virus

The Zika virus has no immunization and cure so far, and scientists are working double time to counter its deadly effect. Reportedly, it’s most harmful to pregnant women, as proven by Zika infected women in Brazil.

It’s dangerous also because 80% of those infected are asymptomatic (no symptoms). Those who displayed symptoms experience red eyes, fever, joint pains, rashes, muscle pain and headache. These symptoms are generally mild and may last for a few days up to a week for adults, but for babies the effect is fatal; microcephaly or other deadly brain defects can result.

The Zika virus mode of transmission is through mosquito bites, which usually bites during the daytime. It has been reported to be rarely transmitted through blood transfusion. It’s also believed that Dengue Fever chikungunya viruses are transmitted by the same mosquito.

CDC had provided travel notices for pregnant tourists who want to travel abroad, and had issued a geographic location of areas infected with the Zika virus.

People are advised to implement the following precautions issued by CDC. (http://www.cdc.gov/zika/prevention/index.html)

People who are suspect and infection must visit a doctor immediately, drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest. They can take acetaminophen but not aspirin.

The Zika Virus can be prevented by avoiding the growth of mosquitoes by eliminating water sources that could harbor the growth of mosquitoes.
